Sweet Sage Bakery is at the Durham Farmer's Market on the Town Green on Thursday, 3 to 6 p.m. (rain or shine, but get there early for the best selections - they do sell out!)
Just the display of artisan breads is a work of art.
Kathy Duffy, owner of Sweet Sage, goes to great pains to find quality organic ingredients and create the best products she can. (And since she once owned her own organic farm, so she knows what she is looking for.)
You can also find Sweet Sage Bakery products at the Urban Oaks Organic Farm in New Britain on Friday, 3 to 6 p.m. Located on 22 Oak St., the farm stand is open year round with a full line of certified organic produce, baked goods and more. (Hours are Friday, 3 to 6 p.m.)
In June, visit the farm market at the The Dudley Farm, located on Durham Road at the northeast corner of Routes 77 and 80, Guilford. The market is open Saturday, 9:00 to 12:30 (starts in June) and features produce, baked goods and crafts from more than 25 vendors, including milk and cheese, shellfish, honey, jam, plants, flowers, vegetables, breads, handspun yarns, jewelry, handmade baskets and cards.
