Chocolate milk does not come from brown cows, as my father jokingly pointed out long ago on family excursions around Connecticut.
More than 40 years ago, dairy farms were a common sight. Not any more.
To read about a Connecticut dairy farm that has been producing fresh milk since 1871 (same family), see Moo Dog Press.

Previously, having tried chocolate milk available (nearly every brand from Connecticut to Vermont and back), I did not like the somewhat chalky flavor and would buy regular milk and add my own Hershey's syrup.
Mountain Dairy's has the rich smooth taste I love right out of the bottle, what I remember from my childhood, when my own small container of chocolate milk was a treat.
Don't believe me? Do a taste test of your own - get a bottle of Mountain Dairy's chocolate milk and try a gulp.
