The Connecticut State Museum of Natural History and the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources at UConn present a special hayride and barn tour on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 10 a.m. to noon, rain or shine.
Ride the hay wagon for a special guided tour of UConn's agricultural education operations.
Explore the horse barns, cattle resources unit, Kellogg Dairy Center, and the polo arena (home to UConn's National Champion Polo teams) to discover the ground-breaking research conducted at UConn in the agricultural sciences.
A stop at the poultry barn will showcase the science behind egg and chicken health and production.
The tour will finish at the famous UConn Dairy Bar for ice cream. (Sweet.)
The program fee is $18, and includes a coupon for ice cream. Advance registration is required. This program is for adults and children ages 5 and older. (Children must be accompanied by an adult.)
